O Embalo
Adriana Carlota Berwert «O Embalo»
Dauer: 9 Minuten

CRIA.TUA
CRIA.TUA is an interdisciplinary performance series presented in Basel and Lucerne. The starting point was an invitation to Pirii Pimentel Rodrigues to take part in the event “Revolving Histories Radio Live Event” on October 25 at Theater Basel. As part of this invitation, Pirii developed a new concept, once again created in close collaboration with the artist Maria Martinez. Together they designed costumes from recycled materials, as well as the construction of a long-string instrument in cooperation with the artist Gian Kaegi. The project explores the relationship between nature, human beings, and the artificial world, making processes of transformation both audible and visible—through, for instance, the “creatures” made of waste—and opening new perspectives on identity and the environment. Complementing the presentation in Basel, two additional performances were organized in Lucerne. There, not only five solo performances by Pirii are presented, but also a duet by the two artists. The series concludes with an exchange with the audience, offering space for conversations and encounters in the intimate setting of the atelier.
The project is supported by the Willy A. and Hedwig Bachofen-Henn Foundation as well as the FUKA-Fonds Lucerne.

Duo_Tus
Duo_Tus Swiss Tour 2025
This concert series is the first project of our newly founded duo, Duo_Tus.
With this project, our duo aims to create unique experiences for the audience at every performance. Instead of following the traditional format of a classical concert, we seek to break down the hierarchy and usual distance between musicians and the audience. We actively invite the audience to engage by allowing them to explore their relationship with sound and space, bringing them closer to us as musicians and artists.
To share this vibrant and resonant experience, we have curated a diverse selection of contemporary works and performances by various composers, incorporating the influences and knowledge from our studies in Switzerland. This repertoire reflects our identity and energy as a duo, striving to create connections between movement, space, body, electronics, and various musical instruments and objects.
works by Emilio Guim, Alexandre Babel, Sarah Nemtsov and Arvo Pärt
tickets 25 CHF / 15 CHF reduced / 10 CHF students – available for purchase at the concert venue.
